  • Film.......reasonable for personal use
  • Agriculture items...refer to consulate
  • Gifts......$500 duty free /other than electronic items
  • Pets: domestic cats and dogs must be accompanied by a rabies innoculation certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian showing the date of innoculation and issue at the point of origin.
  • Psittacine birds require a written statement by a licensed veterinarian that the bird is free of psittacosis along with a health certificate and certificate or origin.
  • Prohibited items:gold, firearms and drugs may not be imported or exported. jewellery may not be exported
  • Note: personal jewellery weighing in excess of 100 grams is subject to a temporary importation permit which will ensure its re-exportation. alternatively it can be leftwith custons on arrival. it is compulsory to declare all gold, pearls and precious stones on arrival in the country.
