REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-U.S CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A VISA TO ENTER AFGHANISTAN




Passport

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page.   If your passport is not valid 6 months beyond intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

 

Photo

Please send 1 recent professional passport-type photograph.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Proof of US Status

Photocopy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card) -or- evidence of legal status in USA (valid visa plus I-94 in passport)

 

 

Proof of Departure

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

 

 

 

Business Letter (Business Visa only)

A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Consulate of Afghanistan, Visa Section, New York, NY
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

 

 

Additional Document (Tourist Visa only)

A letter addressed to the Embassy of Afghanistan detailing the purpose of your visit and details of your intended activities in Afghanistan during your visit.

TDS Order Form




You must complete the Online Order Form.

The order form gives TDS your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. You only need to complete one TDS order form per request. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to TDS and keep one copy for your records.

While completing the online order form in this step, you will be asked how you want to pay TDS fees. You may pay our fees online with a credit card or enclose a personal or business check or money order.

Additional Helpful Information

The Embassy of Afghanistan usually issues a single entry visa valid for entry for 1 month from the date of issue and valid for a stay in Afghanistan of up to 30 days.

U.S. Passport holders who were formerly Afghanistan citizens may enter Afghanistan for a short stay, without a visa The period of stay is determined by Immigration Authorities upon arrival.
