REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A ANGOLAN BUSINESS VISA




Passport

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport is not valid 6 months beyond your intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Proof of Departure

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

 

Bank Statement

Proof or sufficient funds for support (US$200 per day); a copy of a recent bank statement

 

 

Business Letter

A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Consulate General of the Republic of Angola, Visa Section, New York, N.Y
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

 

 

Invitation

Letter of invitation from your host company in Angola. The invitation must be notarized by a local notary, then taken to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry will place a seal on the invitation. The invitation must then be faxed directly to the Angola Consulate in NY.   The Fax must be sent from Angola the Consulate will verify this.     (212-980-9606).

Your host should also fax a copy to you so you can include a copy with your application.

A postal money order is required by the Embassy of Angola. The money order will be obtained by TDS, the consular fee above includes a $5 money order fee.

The order form gives TDS your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. You only need to complete one TDS order form per request. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to TDS and keep one copy for your records.

Additional Helpful Information

The visa is usually valid for a single entry within 90 days of the issue date, for stay of up to 90 days.

The Embassy of Angola advises travelers of the following: "The Consular Office of the Embassy of Angola has the right to request additional documents if necessary."

Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued. TDS can assist with obtaining U.S. Passports, whether new issue, renewal, or obtaining additional visa pages for a valid passport.

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Consulate Office and is usually processed in 10+ business days for oil related business or, 4-8 weeks for other purposes of travel.
