REQUIREMENTS TO EXPEDITE U.S. PASSPORT
SECOND VALID PASSPORT
1.
Completed Passport Application Form DS-82.
- To ease the passport application process, applicants requesting expedited passport service through TDS must now use an online version of the form DS-82, rather than handwriting the required personal data.
- If you require an existing second valid passport to be renewed for a further two years you will also follow these instructions. It is required to clearly show the need for continued use of the second passport.

Letter of Authorization.
- You must print, then complete and include a Letter addressed "Attn: U.S Passport Agency" stating:
"I, (applicant name), hereby authorize Travel Document Systems
to pick up my passport, and discuss the status of my application
with the Passport Services staff."

5. Submit your most recently
issued valid passport.

The passport must have been issued less than
10 years ago

The bearer must have reached their 16th birthday
before the passport issue date.
6. Include proof of
the departure date from the USA

Copy of travel agency or airline itinerary or airline tickets

immediate international travel requirement
7. Explanation of Requirement for Second Valid Passport

Letter signed by the applicant addressed to the Passport Agency explaining
why a second passport is necessary.

Approval of the issue of a second valid passport in determined solely by the US Passport Agency, based the applicant's requirement for the passport.

Information
- Your
application will be hand carried to the U.S. Passport Agency.
There, the Passport Agent will examine the application and
if all documents are in order, assign a date the passport
will be issued (according to departure date from U.S.). Processing
time varies according to the departure date from the U.S.
- Urgent
issue applications can be issued in between 1 and 4 business days. For urgent issue please follow our Washington DC or San Francisco instructions.

- The second
valid passport is limited in validity to two years only and
can be renewed with cause for two year periods. The process of renewing the second valid passport is the same as above. It is required to clearly show the need for continued use of the second passport. It is usually
issued only to frequent business travelers with schedules
showing difficulty obtaining required visas; or passport containing
Israeli entry/visa stamps and itinerary showing entry to mid-east
country which would deny entry.
