REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER PAKISTAN
The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York city will only process visa applications for residents of the states of: Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Massachussetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont. Tourist
Visa
- Submit your
U.S. Passport (must have at least 6 months remaining validity)
- 1 Application
form, fully completed and signed
- 2 Passport-type
photographs required
- An invitation from the host organziation in Pakistan is required
- An applicant for a business visa to Paskistan is required to make a telephone interview with the Consul of the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York at (212) 879-5800. The interview should be conducted PRIOR to the application being presented.

Cover Page and Credit Card Authorization forms (print from browser)
- A business
letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your
company letterhead and addressed to:
Consulate General of Pakistan, Visa Section, New York, N.Y.
The letter must state all of the following:
- The nature
of the business to be performed
- The name
of the business reference to be visited
- Guarantee
sufficient financial support for the visit
- Guarantee
return transportation to the USA.
- The business
letter should be signed by a company officer other than the applicant.
- Note:
Members of the news media are required to also complete FORM-A

Your application
will be hand carried to the Consulate Office, normal processing time
is approximately 3-5 business days for single entries visas
or two weeks for multiple entries visas.

Visa
Notes
- The Pakistan tourist or business visa is usually valid
for two entries within three months from date issued,
the business visa may be valid up to one year, for a
stay not to exceed 30 days. Former citizens of Pakistan,
presenting an old Pakistan passport or National ID card,
may apply for a muliple entry visa valid up to 5 years.
- Other tourist and business visitors may apply for a
multiple entries visa, and, at the discretion of the
consulate, it may be approved or a double entries visa
may be granted instead. The multiple entries visa will
take 10 business days to approve.
- The Embassy of Pakistan advises that the Visa for employees/associates of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO); humanitarian; missionary organizations, may be delayed several weeks. An invitation from the host organzation in Pakistan is required.
- Passport must have at least six months remaining validity
and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to
be issued. TDS can assist with obtaining U.S.
Passports, whether new issue, renewal, or obtaining
additional visa pages for a valid passport.
REGISTER YOUR TRIP:
The U.S. Department of State encourages all American travelers to register with their local Embassy or Consulate when arriving in a foreign country. Registration helps the Embassy to provide important services for American citizens residing or traveling abroad. Some of these services include:

Locating individuals in cases of family or personal emergencies,

Relaying important travel and safety information about the region,

Arranging evacuation transportation in cases of natural disaster or civil unrest,

Issuing replacement passports when originals are lost, and
-
A number of other administrative services relating to personal documentation.
Without the information provided through registration, the Embassy is severely hindered in its ability to provide these services. Many of these services involve emergency situations and time constraints, therefore failure to register will almost certainly lead to delays at moments when you can least afford them.
