items: firearms, non-prescribed drugs, all pornographic films
and literature. export permits are required for arms, ammunition,
explosives, animals, precious metals and stones, drugs and poisons.
duty free cigarettes are prohibited. the penalties for possession
of narcotics are severe and visitors not complying with drug
regulations do so at the risk of death. singapore has strict
social behavior standards and severe penalties.
