VISA REQUIREMENTS 2015

U.S. passport holders may download full instructions along with visa application samples and partially pre-completed visa applications for voyages and land programs that require visas using the links below. These forms can be completed online and then printed for your original signature before sending them along with your actual passport, the required number of photographs, and payment to our address below.

Please note visas that must be obtained prior to sailing are bolded in the table below. There are also a number of voyages that require visas that will be obtained on arrival by Silversea Cruises for U.S. passport holders. These voyages along with those where U.S. guests have the option of either obtaining visas independently on arrival or in advance of travel are flagged with footnotes at the bottom of the table.

Please note that the line recommends that your passport be valid for a minimum of six months beyond the completion of your travel and that you have a minimum of four fully blank pages in your passport for each segment on which you are sailing. We can assist you with the addition of pages to or renewal of your passport at the same time your visas are issued or independent of any visa applications. (Please indicate your nationality, voyage and booking number and indicate if you are currently a legal permanent resident of the U.S. and if so which state.)

 

^1. Russian visas will be provided on a "blanket" basis by the ship EXCEPT for those passengers who wish to do independent sightseeing outside of the locally scheduled shore excursions offered by the ship who must obtain visas in advance of sailing.

^2.  US passport holders must pay a reciprocity fee for Argentina prior to sailing - you may do so at http://www.traveldocs.com/uploads/forms/AustralianPTDSETA.pdf and bring your printed receipt of payment with you.  Passengers must show receipt of payment upon entry to Argentina.

Visas for the following countries will be obtained on arrival for the U.S. passport holders by MSC Cruises: Mozambique, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Please note that this information is for U.S. passport holders transiting these countries as a port of call and relevant charges will be placed on your shipboard account.  If you are not a U.S. passport holder please contact us at to verify whether these visas for any of these countries can also be provided en route for your nationality.

U.S. passport holders transiting Turkey as a port of call are not required to have a visa.

South African immigration REQUIRES that you have a minimum of TWO FACING AND COMPLETELY BLANK visa pages in your passport at the time of entry.  Note: that these cannot be pages reserved for amendments and endorsements at the back of your passport.
