Travel Document Systems Houston office can only submit applications for residents of Texas and Oklahoma, you must provide a Drivers License or Major Utility Bill as Proof of Jurisdiction.

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least two blank visa pages. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.
A visa cannot be stamped on a page even if only one Small Stamp is on the visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport expires within 6 months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Please send 1 recent (within the last 6 months) professional passport-type photograph.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.
Please write the first and last name of the applicant in pencil on the back of the photos.

• One photocopy of certificate required as well
• Sponsor in Japan is responsible for obtaining the Certificate of Eligibility

• A copy of acceptance letter from receiving educational institute or the applicant's employment contract or letter of appointment
• Students must provide document certifying that the applicant can defray all expenses incurred during his/her stay in Japan to include bank statements, documents certifying the scholarship/grants that the applicant has been awarded
• One clear photocopy of all the documents you are submitting
