TOURIST TRAVEL

  • U.S. Passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay
  • No visa required for stay up to 90 days (eff. 10\28\98)
  • Tickets and Documents for return or onward travel
  • Vaccination: None required
BUSINESS TRAVEL
  • U.S. Passport must be Valid 6 months Beyond Intended Stay
  • Tickets and Documents for Return or Onward Travel
  • No Visa Required for stay up to 90 days (eff. 10\28\98)
  • Vaccinations - None Required
EMPLOYMENT OR STUDY TRAVEL
  • Contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate
NOTE:
  • On July 01 1997, the sovereignty of Hong Kong reverted to the Peoples Republic of China.
  • Under an arrangement referred to as "One Country, Two Systems", Hong Kong will become a Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of China.
  • Visa Requirements for visitors to the HKSAR will remain as they were under British sovereignty.
  • The Hong Kong Immigration Department will continue to process and approve applications from those nationalities that require them.
  • The only difference is that Chinese rather than British Consulate offices will accept the visa applications.
  • Travelers visiting Hong Kong after visting China, and then returning to China, will continue to require a double entry visa to China
