The Embassy of Mozambique in Washington DC has reinstated urgent visa processing effective 6/8/2015. Regular processing time frame will remain at 10 business days, with the new Rush processing being 2-4 business days.

NOTE: A VISA MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO ENTERING MOZAMBIQUE, AS A VISA CAN NO LONGER BE ISSUED UPON ARRIVAL AT ANY OF MOZAMBIQUE'S ENTRANCE POINTS. SHOULD YOU REQUIRE A BORDER VISA YOU MUST REQUIRE PRIOR AUTHORIZATION FROM Direcção Nacional de Migração. 

NOTE: All ISSUED visas must be used within the first 60 days from date of issuance, if not the visa will expire and no longer be valid for entry into Mozambique. i.e. A visa issued for 6 months and multiple entries must be used within the first 60 days from date of issue, otherwise the visa will expire.
