Update: March 28th, all applications completed prior to the update on March 20th that have not been submitted for visa processing are now considered to be invalid and must be redone using the new application form format. 

The Russian Foreign Ministry has published an update to the online visa application form, this update was preformed over the weekend of March 19th and 20th. NO advance notice of this update was given nor was it posted on any of the Russian Consulates web sites. At this time we are not aware if this new visa application format will render old style applications that have been completed but not submitted to the Russian consulates for visa processing invalid, as soon as more information becomes available we will update this blog post.
