Effective December 19th, 2019. The Russian Embassy in Washington DC has announced new visa processing times for US citizens applying for a visa to Russia. 

The Russian Government will no longer offer any "Rush or Expedited" processing options for US citizens, and all visas will be processed under the regular processing guidelines of 7-9 business days until further notice.
