Document Requirements

These requirements are applicable for US Citizens applying for a Mozambique Work Permit visa in Washington DC

PassportPassport

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.
A visa cannot be stamped on a page even if only one Small Stamp is on the visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport is not valid 6 months beyond your intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

Authorization LetterAuthorization Letter

Copy of an authorization letter issued by the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Justice or Religious Affairs in Mozambique.

Employment ContractEmployment Contract

You must provide an original official letter from the organization or company affirming your employment offer.
This letter must include:

The position or job title with the company or organization.
The dates of your employment offer.
Your name as it appears on your passport.
Be signed by the employer.

Police ClearancePolice Clearance

Police Clearance Report obtained from your current state of residence Police Department is required.

This report must be authenticated first by the U.S. Department of State and then by the Embassy of Mozambique. 

VaccinationsVaccinations

Extention of StayExtention of Stay

Once in Mozambique your host can apply for an Extention of Stay, this will allow you to travel out of Mozambique and allow you to re enter. Your host must provide a copy of the DIRE when applying for the Extention of Stay.
