The Nigerian Consulate has announced a change to their visa issuing policy for Atlanta applicants for visas, all applicants must appear in person to be fingerprinted as part of the visa application process, Travel Document Systems can assist if you submit your application through our New York Office where a personal appearance is not required.

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.
A visa cannot be stamped on a page even if only one Small Stamp is on the visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport expires within 6 months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket.   The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Consulate of Nigeria Visa Section, Atlanta, GA

The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

You must request a letter of invitation from the host organization you will be visiting.

A copy of your hotel confirmation(s) is required to show proof of your stay.

Please provide a copy of your inviters details page of his/hers Nigerian passport.

Certificate of Incorporation from the inviting organization is required.

Note: Follow the step by step online instructions. Your application must be submitted online and the appropriate Visa fee paid for by credit card online ($180USD). When confirmed, please print a copy of your (1) Visa Application Form, (2) Visa Acknowledgement Slip, (3)  Visa Payment Slip and/or Payment Receipt from Google Checkout then mail all three to TDS for processing, along with all other requirements detailed above. Failure to fully complete the visa application form will delay processing the visa.

The embassy will charge $131.50 processing fee per application or $196.50 if the application is needed on a emergency basis. These fees are to be paid separately through the TDS Online Order Form.

Please print an additional copy and send to TDS along with your passport and required documents, your credit card payment receipt for the base Visa fee ($180 single entry or multiple entries), and all other requirements to obtain the visa. TDS will pay the $131.50 processing fee required on your behalf -- do not pay this processing fee online by credit card.
