The permitted duration of stay is determined at the discretion of the Immigration Officer upon arrival at the Singapore Immigration Checkpoints. Regardless of the length of stay granted, visitors may apply for extensions of stay in person at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority before the expiration of the entry permit.

If you are visiting Singapore to conduct or participate in a conference, seminar, workshop or gathering of a racial /communal, religious, cause-related or political nature; or if you are a reporter/journalist who are visiting Singapore to write a story; or if you are performing at nightclubs and lounges, you will need to apply for a Professional Visit Pass.
