Document Requirements

These requirements are applicable for US Citizens applying for a Turkish Tourist visa in Washington DC

PassportPassport

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.
A visa cannot be stamped on a page even if only one Small Stamp is on the visa page If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport is not valid 6 months beyond intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

In addition to your original passport, you must also send to TDS a copy of the vital data page and any page in your passport that has a visa, entry or exit stamp on it.

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

You will be required to upload a copy of your Flight Reservation when completing the visa application.
You must also send a hard copy to Traveldocs.

Invitation LetterInvitation Letter

If staying with a relative or friend who lives in Turkey a notarized Invitation Letter from the host  with their contact information, purpose and duration of your visit, conformation of where you will be staying icluding the full address, signature and date. You must provide proof of hosts status in Turkey, i.e copy of passport, residence permit and national passport details page if they are not a Turkish citizen.

You will be required to upload a copy of your Invitation Letter when completing the visa application.
You must also send a hard copy to Traveldocs.

Employment LetterEmployment Letter

Letter from employer verifying emplotment status and leave of absence.

You will be required to upload a copy of your Employment Letter when completing the visa application.
You must also send a hard copy to Traveldocs.

Bank StatementBank Statement

A copy of the Applicant's recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance, such as a letter from a bank, or money market statement. It is advisable to erase account numbers.

You must also send a hard copy to Traveldocs.

Medical InsuranceMedical Insurance

Proof of worldwide medical insurance is required.

Hotel ConfirmationHotel Confirmation

A copy of the applicant's hotel confirmation is required.

You will be required to upload a copy of your Hotel Confirmation when completing the visa application.
You must also send a hard copy to Traveldocs.

During the application a pop box will appear asking for a reference number,
this reference number will be sent to the email address you entered on the pre application form. 
Once completed you must download and sign your Pre-Visa Application Form.
You must complete and schedule an appointment for Traveldocs to submit your visa application on your behalf to the Turkish Embassy in Washington.
Select the first available date, Traveldocs must receive your completed documents by FedEx at least one day prior to
the scheduled appointment date.
Once submitted the visa should be issued within 5-7 business days.
