Document Requirements

These requirements are applicable for Non-US Citizens applying for a Uganda Business visa in New York

Effective August 1 2016, Uganda’s visa on arrival program has officially ended.

Visitors who arrive at either Entebbe International Airport or the various land borders without having applied for and obtained an visa in advance will be denied boarding by your airline or entry at a land border check point.
Airlines have been informed to deny boarding to any passengers heading to Uganda unless they can show proof of having applied for a visa and obtained one in advance.

The Uganda Government issues two types of visas: An e-Visa (electronic visa) and a traditional visa stamped into your passport.

TravelDocs recommends applying for an e-Visa if you only require a single entry visa for Uganda If a multiple entry visa is required please apply for the traditional stamped visa.

The e-Visa is valid for a single entry only, good for 90 days from date of issue for a stay up to 90 days. It is very easy to apply for and does not required sending your physical passport to TravelDocs. It can be issued in as little as 24 hours (Monday - Friday) and is a cost-effective option.

A Traditional Stamped Visa is valid for multiple (or single) entries into Uganda, good for 3-6 months from date of issue for a stay up to 30-90 days. This option requires your physical passport and supporting documents to be sent to TravelDocs for submission to the Uganda Embassy for processing. Although slightly more complicated and expensive to apply for this option is best if you require more than one entry into Uganda as part of your itinerary and/or you may return to Uganda with 6 months.

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. Passport must be valid 6 months beyond the expected date of departure from Uganda and must have at least one blank visa page. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.
A visa cannot be stamped on a page even if only one Small Stamp is on the visa page. If your passport expires within your departure date, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Please send 2 recent professional passport-type photographs.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.
