What is an Indian e-Tourist Visa ?

An eTV or "e-Tourist Visa" is an electronically issued and stored authority for tourist and light business travel to India, which can be used to replace the traditional stamped paper visa process in most cases.

The Indian e-Visas are valid for 30 days from date of issue for a single entry only. A maximum of two Indian e-Visas can be issued for the same traveler within one year.

U.S. Citizens plus 149 other nationalities are eligible to apply for the India e-Tourist Visa (eTV). An Indian eTV may be obtained by Travel Document Systems on your behalf. The Indian eTV is for international travelers whose purpose of visiting India is tourism, recreation, sight-seeing, visiting friends or relatives and light business travel purposes.
